Product Overview
ISO 7241-1 quick couplings are the general-purpose ball-lock couplings used across machine tools, construction equipment, agriculture and industrial hydraulics. The sleeve-operated design connects and disconnects by hand, and poppet valves on both halves limit spill when lines are separated. We supply both Series A and Series B profiles in sizes from 1/4" to 2", with NPT, BSPP, BSPT, JIC or ORFS end connections.

How to Spec a Series A or B Coupling
- 1Confirm the profile: Series A or Series B (from the existing coupling or machine documentation).
- 2Pick the nominal size by flow: 1/4" for pilot and control lines, 3/8"–1/2" for most mobile circuits, 3/4"–1" for high-flow return lines.
- 3Choose the end connections for both halves: NPT, BSPP, BSPT, JIC or ORFS, with thread size.
- 4Select material: carbon steel for general duty, stainless for corrosive media, brass for low-pressure and non-magnetic needs.
- 5Note any specials: connect-under-pressure, lockable sleeve, or specific plating.

Questions Buyers Ask
Series A or Series B — which do I need?
Series A is the global general-purpose standard (also called ISO-A). Series B is the European/commonwealth profile. They do not couple with each other. Check the existing coupling's sleeve profile and markings, or measure per the identification guide.
Are ISO 7241 couplings interchangeable across brands?
Dimensional interchange follows ISO 7241-1, so Series A couplers from different manufacturers mate in most cases. Always verify with drawings before batch purchase — sealing, flow and pressure ratings vary by maker.
What threads can I get?
NPT (US tapered), BSPP (parallel), BSPT (tapered), JIC 37° flare and ORFS. The coupling interface standard does not dictate the end thread — specify both.
Do you supply seal kits?
Yes — O-ring and complete seal kits for each size and series. We recommend keeping the seal kit number with the coupling part number.
