Series A is the global general-purpose profile (ISO-A); Series B is the European/commonwealth profile. They have different dimensional profiles and do not couple with each other. Check the sleeve profile and markings on your existing coupling, or measure it per our identification guide.

Flat-face (flush-face) couplings have flat sealing faces that wipe clean during connection, keeping contamination out of the hydraulic system. They also spill far less fluid on disconnect than ball-lock designs — the standard is ISO 16028.

Standard ISO 16028 couplings need the circuit depressurized. Connect-under-pressure (CUP) versions relieve trapped pressure during connection and are the safe choice for machines that hot-swap attachments, like skid steers.

1/2" ISO 5675 is the dominant agricultural coupling size for tractor-to-implement connections. High-flow implements may use flat-face ISO 16028 instead.

NPT (US tapered pipe), BSPP (parallel pipe), BSPT (tapered BSP), JIC (37° flare) and ORFS (O-ring face seal). The coupling interface standard does not dictate the end thread — you specify both.

Dimensional interchange follows the ISO standard (e.g., ISO 7241-1), so couplings from different manufacturers mate in most cases. Always verify sealing, flow and pressure ratings with the data sheet before mixing brands in critical circuits.

Usually yes. Replace the O-rings and, if scored, the ball set. We stock seal kits per size and series — keep the seal kit number with the coupling part number.

Yes — dust caps and plugs for flat-face, ball-lock and agricultural couplings in common sizes. They are the cheapest maintenance part on a machine and the most effective.

Standard (ISO 7241 A/B, ISO 16028, ISO 5675), size (e.g., 1/2"), thread (NPT, BSPP, JIC, ORFS), material if special, quantity, and target market if relevant. A photo or part number works too — we cross-reference it.
